It is becoming increasingly more important for companies to safely dispose of unwanted IT materials. Each PC, laptop, server and other media devise poses a data security risk. One of the ways to ensure that confidential information does not fall into the wrong hands is to remove sensitive data from hard drives or other types of data devices.

All data removal that is done at Amergence Technology follows the strictest guidelines in accordance with U.S. Dept. of Defense 5220.22-M standard. Our DOD wipes will permanently remove all information. Once the information is erased, all working units go to our remarketing department for re-sale. All hardware that is not sellable or is defective is sent to our recyclers for destruction. Disks, tapes, other media and defective hard drives are all documented then shredded.

We create rigorous, documented controls and report on how and when the data was erased and/or destroyed.
